These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Wordcue mobile application (the "App"). The App is developed and operated by an individual developer, contactable at support@learnenglishwithwordcue.com ("we", "us", "our").

By creating an account or otherwise using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age of digital consent in your country, if higher) to use the App. By using the App, you represent that you meet this requirement. If you are using the App on behalf of a minor who meets the minimum age above, you are responsible for their compliance with these Terms.

2. Description of the Service

Wordcue helps you learn vocabulary from TV show and movie subtitles through word lists, flashcards, and quizzes tied to shows, seasons, and episodes. Features may be added, changed, or removed at any time, and we may add usage limits to any feature without notice.

3. Accounts

4. Subscriptions and Billing

5. Acceptable Use

When using the App, you agree not to:

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate this section.

6. User-Submitted Content

If you submit a show/movie suggestion, a support request, or other feedback ("User Content"), you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use that content solely to operate, maintain, and improve the App (for example, to add a suggested show to our catalog or to respond to your request). You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to submit any content you provide.

7. Intellectual Property

The App, including its design, features, and underlying software, is owned by us and protected by intellectual property laws. We do not grant you any ownership rights in the App — only a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use it for personal, non-commercial purposes in accordance with these Terms.

Show and movie titles, subtitle excerpts, artwork, and related trademarks referenced within the App belong to their respective owners. Wordcue uses short excerpts for educational vocabulary-learning purposes and does not claim ownership of, or affiliation with, any third-party show, movie, or studio.

8. Third-Party Services

The App relies on third-party services, including Google Play Billing (subscriptions), Google Sign-In (authentication), and Firebase Crashlytics (crash diagnostics). Your use of these services is also subject to the respective third party's own terms and privacy policy. See our Privacy Policy for details on data shared with these providers.

9. Termination

You may stop using the App at any time and request deletion of your account as described on our account deletion page. We may suspend or terminate your access to the App if you violate these Terms, or discontinue the App (or any feature) at our discretion, with reasonable notice where practicable.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

The App is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that vocabulary content or translations will be complete or accurate.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, arising out of or related to your use of the App. Our total liability for any claim arising from these Terms or the App is limited to the amount you paid us, if any, in the 12 months preceding the claim.

Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes in the App, our practices, or for legal and regulatory reasons. We will update the "Last updated" date above when we do. Continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Türkiye, without regard to its conflict of law principles, unless mandatory consumer-protection laws of your country of residence provide otherwise.
